Animal Therapies
Animals can suffer neck, back and muscular injuries causing loss of mobility and lack of performance.
Louise may use one or more of the therapeutic techniques at her disposal, whichever she considers most appropriate for the individual case.
Do any of the following apply to your animal?
In horses and dogs, musculoskeletal problems may be caused by an accident or single event (acute injury) or by a problem that has been present and worsened over time (chronic injury).
Acute injuries include:
- Trips, falls or slips
- Accidents
Chronic injuries may be caused by:
- Overwork or repetitive work
- Ill-fitting tack
- Dental problems
- Farriery issues
- Poor conformation
- Excess weight, or an unbalanced rider
- Pulling on a lead
- Playing with tug toys
Always consult your veterinary surgeon before a McTimoney treatment is carried out, as it is illegal for a practitioner to treat your animal without your vet's approval.
